Wow! What was that?

Strangest thing. I'm just sitting here at my desk, having returned from visiting some parishioners. Get the 'puter just turned on, turn to grab a commentary off the shelf...and all of a sudden I get this terrible pain first in the front of my chest, around my sternum, up high. Then it goes around into my back, and my whole upper back is just excruciating. Then I feel warm for a minute, and just when I think I should lie down, I feel fine again. Strange. It felt like muscle pain, except for the feeling warm, which really seemed like a reaction to the pain.

I have low blood pressure (95/50 last time it was checked) and good cholesterol, so I can't think it was heart related. I'm guessing it's something related to my scoliosis. Whatever it was, it hurt like hell, and if it happens again, I'm calling my doc.

So, how's by you?

4. Okay, I will...
I'll let DU know if it amounts to anything. I must admit I'm a little scared.

7. Ditto what he said. And don't drive yourself, have someone else
drive you.

Take care. Be well.

9. I agree in the strongest terms humanly possible.
Tell them you had chest pain. Let them wire you up. You'll be relieved when they tell you that you just ate too many grapes.

I had something very close to what you described only once and ignored it. I'm one of those kind of strange people that if I chopped off a leg would hop around on the other one and tell everyone I'm fine. Please don't follow my lead. I had a heart attack.

6. I'd go to webmd or call the doc...
Heart attacks have those symptoms, albeit for several minutes.

But something is wrong. 95/50 seems low as well (you a guy or a gal?)

How's your pulse rate?
