My sympathies to any fellow DUers who are fighting this. My head feels like it's gonna explode, my joints hurt, I'm cold then I'm hot.

5. The same but different...

This is the second time in two months that the flu has visited me with a vengence. Last time it was the headache, sore throat, achy flu...this time its the intestinal variety with a headache, aching legs, hips, and back. Good thing: I'm losing weight. Bad thing: I think I may actually live!

7. I can identify.

I have the heat cranked up, and still I'm having chills. Headache, runny nose, achiness. Even when I get under the covers I feel cold. I'm overdue for a shower, but I procrastinate because I don't want to feel any colder by stripping down and walking around on a cold floor. Usually I sleep in only briefs, but I've taken to going to bed in layered clothing and socks.

...it isn't influenza.

It's gastroenteritis. Or maybe food poisoning.

....will stay at home and not go to work. This influenza is too dangerous to members of the public to give them your germs.

12. I'm feelin' ya.

Just got over some bug. Only lasted about 18hrs., but it was the worst 18 hours I've spent in a while. My advice: Chicken soup, fresh OJ and SLEEP! Watch some football (if yer into that), it'll help distract you from being miserable.
