Damn, the sig line feature is pretty good...
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 04:04 AM by petersond
I just realized that there was an option to look at siglines, without looking at someone's profile....I had my option turned off, and I'm surprised by the variety, of proverbial wisdom that people have in their siglines...makes mine look ...lame...:silly:

I feel like a blind man, who can now see.....:hi:

on edit:grammar

4. Wisdom...can be found in anything
it just depends on who interprets the words/wording....your sigline reminds me of a movie....where did it come from, sounds, interesting, and catchy. Damn, I'm almost tempted to throw my fave Marv line from Sin City into mine....:hi:

it's a screen cap from "The Prestige" trailer. In it's larger size you can see that I've put Tinkerbelle in the lantern (I have no life and too many art programs):silly:

18. It won't hit the theatre until October 20th--
It's based on the book of the same name by Christopher Priest, directed by Christopher Nolan, and stars Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman as rival magicians in turn of the century London. Supporting cast; Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Piper Perabo, Andy Serkis, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.
Looks Good! :D

25. Bale's been a busy man...
In November, watch for "Harsh Times" and in the future, if the producers of it get around to paying off the crew, Werner Herzog's "Rescue Dawn" a dramatization of "Little Dieter Needs to Fly."

...but "The Prestige" is the one I'm most looking forward to. :)

34. what sucked about Superman Returns
is that the novel came out a month before the movie did, and they released movie card like two months before it came out...I should have avoided the boards, but I couldn't resist, plus SR did surprise me quite a few times...:)

I remember one poster on the superman board starting a thread...

"A dog eats another dog in this movie"

And a bunch of us were laughing at that guy....but guess who is laughing now? Yeah, that other guy....

Good for you!!!:D Not much point in getting cool toys if you don't play with them. You have a lot of neat stuff! :)

The store I work at has some toys and cards (CCG's and TC's) but is mostly comics, magazines, GN's, and books.

43. I had bad luck...
when I was in sacramento for a couple of years, I left a lot of my stuff at my parents house, and my younger brothers found boxes, and boxes of unopened toys, and decided it was Xmas II....and opened up everything. What I usually like to do, if I have the cash, is buy three...one to pin up on the wall, one to open, and one to trade when its worth a gazillion bucks...:)

The ones that are impressing me now are Marvels new line of toys, they are rather big, and look AMAZING...they cost around 15 bucks, and they look like movable statues...I saw one of Iron Man/Capt America, and they looked ...damn, they look sweet...I wish DC would do more lines, like Marvel does. Marvels Legend toy line is amazing...and if you ever come across a Juggernaut, from the Marvels Legend Line...save it for me, I need one badly...if you can find two, get two! I have been looking high/low for that one, and all the online places I have seen want 50 bucks a pop, when the damn thing only costs 8 bucks tops.

44. Sounds like the dreaded "chase figure"
I wish they would quit doing that!x( A lot of the Marvel stuff can only be ordered by the case, and just to force retailers to order more they deliberately "overpack" one or two figures while "underpacking" others. DC does the same thing, but their toys aren't as nice (articultion-wise).

I can't afford to get multiples on much any more (not to mention that there are no toy stores close by).

I'll check on the Juggernaut though, sometimes they offer them individually.

I have to get some sleep. I'll PM you later about Juggernaut. :)

'Night! (well, Morning! really ;))

33. It's true
:loveya:

If you don't want to go this weekend, don't go. Unless there is some duty involved, I don't see why you should do something you don't want to.

I'm free Saturday but I gotta go out Sunday. A friend from the Hare Krishnas has gone apostate and wants me to take a load of his stuff off his hands. He has some deities which are not being worshipped any more which I will take to the temple, and he also has a load of Krishna Consciousness books that he no longer wants.

I got a bit freaked out when he asked how large my car is, and said maybe it would take two trips. I don't have any space in my flat as it is, and I certainly don't want a car load of boxes full of books on the floor in the middle of my room, especially as I ain't going to read them either (I don't have time).

On Saturday I need to find out where my local tip is and take some of my own stuff there. About time I cleared out some of the useless crap from my house.

Phew!
