Anyone else feel dangerously sleek and dark and misleading?

I feel like I ought to be out on the town, dressed in black silk, with a glass in one hand and a wilting rose in the other.

Aja probably isn't helping...."Deacon Blues" never fails to make me feel like a drunk, tripped-up figure of the night.

1. Well--I don't exactly imagine myself dressed in silk--

--being of the male gender, and all...and I've never been drunk, so I don't really think along those terms...but I do dream almost every night of film noirish locales and themes, and incorporate my dreams into the stories I write...and I'm listening to a lot of mid-century music these days--Sinatra, Lady Day, Anita O-Day--terrifically underrated, by the way...so does that count?
