8. It's "YOOT" I tell ya, YOOT! It's not like a LUTE, it's a YOOT like TOOT.
I got that vernacular down.

5. I have to admit,
I originally thought that movie was going to be dumb as sh*t, but it turned out to be hilarious.

7. I saw it on one of the non-premium cable channels
(TNT, TBS or one of those). I know they cut stuff out but I'm sure I got the bulk of it.

10. "...and NOW, 10 YEARS later, my NIECE, the daughter of my SISTER
is getting married!"

Hee. That is still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

11. It really was quite good (spoilers!)
It came out without any fanfare, and it would never have been considered an Oscar contender at all, but there was just something about all the actors working so well together, and the circumstances which made it very funny. I think I especially like the motel rooms they stayed in--it really showed the difference between city and country living.

I DID find a continuity error in the film, though. It might have been because of a scene that was cut out: near the end when Mona and Vinny are sitting in the restaurant and they have their big argument, Vinny is so pissed off and frustrated because he figures that the judge is going to hand him his ass on a sling because the judge finds out that Vinny isn't who he says he is. Well, not once during that conversation does he tell Mona that he had changed his story about being Jerry Callo instead of Jerry Gallo, and yet when Mona tells him that she talked with his old friend the other judge, she says Jerry Callo, and not Gallo. So--how did she find out that name from Vinny? It was never said in front of her that we know of, and in the space of time when she is on the phone, there isn't any other time she would have found it out.
