I'm so proud of myself, I started editing the book I wrote.

One big problem though, it's CRAP! I hope I'm making it less crappy by revamping it. Oh well, at least I can say I finished it.

1. Your youthful self wrote a book? |
|
Impressive.
One really shouldn't edit one's own work, though — at least not the final edit.

Like two years ago. I'm not seriously editing it. I'm just changing some stuff around, adding some things, taking some things out. That sort of thing. :)

There is some I've always wanted to change, and some things I want to add. I'm not editing it like an editor would. Oh hell no, I know better than that. I'm just changing parts that I don't like. :D

on editing I soon start rewriting-adding words-taking away words-getting bogged down in details-ruin my original meaning-get angry-remove portions-start frustration-give up-start over.
Better luck to you.
But it is fun and one learns too by golly.

I'd have written a book by now, but I still feel like I don't know enough.

8. Then just make stuff up. |
|
That's what I did... although it is fantasy, so I guess it's ok. ;)

 And I'm sure it's not CRAP! Being at the revamping stage is an accomplishment in itself. I've started writing so many times, and left it undone. I can barely write an entire e-mail these days.

10. It's funny really, because about two years I wrote a lot. |
|
Poems, tried a song or two, and the book. Since then I haven't written anything. So now I'm trying to get back into it and spiffy up my book a bit, maybe I'll get some new ideas. :D
