Go Colorado State!!
Hating the CU Buffalo is part of my genetic code, so seeing them go 0-2 absolutely makes my day.

14-10 CSU!

Hey Buffs...6 consecutive losses?

1. My poor Grandfather waited all day for the game
only to find out that it wasn't being televised here. He was so depressed!

2. Oh no!
It was on here! Granted, it was CSTV...but still.

((HUGS)) to Grandpa. Nobody should ever miss watching CU get humiliated.

5. It aired up in Fort Collins
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 09:27 PM by fishwax
at least, so a relative of mine there told me ... she said it was on an unusual channel ... 55 or something. I assumed it was a denver independent, but maybe not ...

9. Hello, fellow Husker!
You know, I was back in Nebraska last weekend and I made my mom stop at Runza on the way to the airport!

The Swiss & Mushroom burger is to die for. And the crinkle fries! Sigh.

Meanwhile, can you believe ZW? He's a UCLA fan. The Bruins have their hands full with RICE...and he says *we're* fucked!

ZW, meet mirror. :P

10. Tennessee won
Another great team - like all of my teams are. :P Who cares how close? A win is a win is a win. :bounce:

UCLA is having NO trouble with Rice. The Bruins are playing with one hand behind their backs.

I sure wish Troy beat Florida State. That would have been the upset of the year. I despise all Florida teams on principle.

Gotta hand it to Boston College edging Clemson!

And...

USC is going to hand the Huskers their corn-fed, Runza-puking asses. :D

11. Only a LOSER
would consider a 10-point victory over a SHITTY team to be an acceptible outcome.

We Huskers have higher standards. If you're playing a crap team, you should take them behind the woodshed and beat the shit out of them. 26-16 is for pussies. 56-7 is a real score. Or maybe 49-10.

You see, we actually HAVE an offense. Unlike, you know, UCLA.

You wanna see USC hand someone their asses? Wait for the UCLA-USC game. Pain and humiliation will be all yours, my friend.

12. Running up a score
Is so very Republican. It's overdog behavior. And worst of all...

It's BORING. :boring:

My college was the #1 Division II team in the nation when I went there, and I quit going to the games when we racked up 107-0 scores (literally). It's practically fascist.

But worst of all, BORING.

Give me upsets and edge-of-your-seat excitement.

Oh, and I am sure USC will beat UCLA, but since I didn't go to school there, I can bear the brunt. I don't have as much of an emotional stake in the outcome. Sports is ultimately for gambling, not school spirit. :P

Judging by today's scores, I did nicely. :D

13. It's not running up a score
when you've got your 3rd string in the game. It's not the Huskers fault that both teams we've played so far had a complete inability to stop a bunch o' freshmen who aren't even trying to score. (haha, ok, that's gotta be the only time a bunch o' freshman boys aren't trying to score... :P )

I like upsets and excitement as much as the next person, but we save that for the real teams. A 10 point win over Rice isn't exciting, it's sad. UCLA needs to grow an offense. And, well...a defense too.

But then, what can one expect from the PAC-10? ;)

14. Haha!
Good pun on the freshmen! :D

This is going to be a long season of trash-talking, LOL.

(Hell, it would have only been worrisome if UCLA was ranked, but they aren't, so it's okay - everyone here knows that UCLA is the UNC of the west coast - that is, the basketball program is its jewel, and football is of much lesser importance)

I still wish Florida State lost. Sometimes there are more important things than gambling in sports, and beating FLA teams is one of them.

As for OSU/Texas, I avoided that one. I would have rather gouged my eyes out with hot pokers than watch either of those insufferable teams and their awful fans. :puke: The fact they were ranked #1 and #2 is proof there is no god and that America hates all good things.

15. Yay for trash talking!
It's especially fun since our teams will never meet. ;)

I wish Florida State had lost as well. We can at least agree on our mutual hatred of all teams Floridian.

I watched OSU/Texas. It was painful. I couldn't decide who I wanted to lose more.
