Someone bought me a star tonight.

My life has sucked since feburary when my computer was infected with a virus. My Dad(MY beloved Father) died on my birthday in april, and a month later my son started his on going hospitalization at Henry Ford Hospital, 1 hour and 4 expressways away. In august I finally got the money to get my cpu wiped and couldn't remember my user name or password to DU. Tonight someone bought me a star. This, to me, defines DU. I love this place. Thank you, I'll pass it on when I get a chance.

I didn't appreciate the welcomes I got when I first registered in 04. I thought it was just some automatic thing people did here to keep you coming back. Later I learned how easily I could have slammed as a troll. This time around I appreciate the leap of faith that people like you, Heidi take when you welcome someone. Thank you.

I've been away for awhile. It seems that some of the most obdurate(at least the ones I used to see in GD) are gone. So it goes. Dems can never become inflexible or their not really Democrats anymore. Funny how this board keeps separating the wheat from the chaff.
