Any SMALLVILLE fans here?
I just got into the show about a month ago. I am finishing up season 2 on dvd & will start season 3 probably tomorrow. I was not crazy about the first 2 or 3 episodes but then it began to grow on me & I am now an addict! Any fans?

3. Season III is very good...
and the season III cliff hanger is a tough one...:) I got 1-4 seasons, I got into it late last year. I am a big superman fan, but couldn't afford the seasons until last fall, when the first two seasons were 18 bucks a pop, so I decided to pick them up...after watching I and II, I was hooked big time...

7. I also hear
Terrence Stamp is in an episode. I love General Zod from Superman II!!! I'm glad Chris Reeve comes back to reprise his role as Dr.Swan.

9. Terrance Stamp is in...
season 4, yes...he is in season II as well...he is the voice of Jor-el...if you hadn't figured that one out yet...:) I was happy as can be when CR was on the Rosetta Stone episode...seeing Tom and Chris reeve together, they look very similiar....and the specials on that season were pretty decent as well...CR was such a good guy...

8. Yes
Although it's like two shows in one. The better half focuses on Lex/Lionel/Clark and Lex's gradual descent from good to evil. The best plotlines and dialogues spring from that triad. Michael Rosenbaum is a seriously underrated actor and why he doesn't have Emmys for his role proves what a disgrace the process is.

The weaker half is typical WB teen angst and relationship melodrama. This is to satisfy the WB demographic, and is worth the price of admission to get to the good stuff for us lifelong comic geeks. ;-)

Speaking of geeks, a recurring theme in the teen angst thread of the show is the "freak of the week" plotlines. They are vehicles to help Clark work through his own changes and self-discovery. The show does improve when it moves away from that plot device, which come to think of it, often bridges the gap between the Lex/Lionel/Clark storylines and the Clark/Lana/Lois storylines.

Enjoy! :-)

10. Good description of Smallville...
I dont' mind the freak of the weeks, but the love fiasco with Lana has got me wanting to puke....and it continues into season 5, so 5 whole seasons of

"I love you lana, I don't love you"

"I love you clark, I don't love you"

And my wife hates Lana with a passion...Lana is to wishy washy, and weak...and I tend to agree with my wife on that ....

ps. Don't forget the other theme, where new cars/trucks only have a life span of 30 minutes....man, their insurance premiums must be a couple thousand a month, for how many times vehicles get messed up.

12. I can't believe
that John Shneider is 52 years old. He looks like he is 40! I also can not believe that John Glover (Lionel Luther, Lex's dad) is 62. There was a still of him from last season with his shirt off and he could but some of these A+F boys to shame! Been a long time fan of John Glover's work, both on stage and small roles. I call him this generations Vincent Price just because he plays villains like no one else! I agree with the Michael Rosenbaum. The guy has an impressive resume.A very underrated actor.
