1. An hour or two a week.
Don't have a favorite channel. I'm usually watching reruns or law & order or that 70s show, or a movie. TBS, USA, etc. I don't watch the news. Or much of anything else.

3. I'm on the computer more than I watch TV.
I usually have it on during the day when I'm home just for some background noise. My favorite channels are LMN and Lifetime and of course, Animal Planet. Otherwise, the TV is mainly used to watch DVDs.

4. I watch way, way way too much TV......

I must be a toobaholic.

I have a TV in almost every room, TiVo, DVD, satellite, etc.

I work from home (computer), so I’m bombarded day and night.

I watch mostly NEWS (FOX, CNN, Yadda, Yadda).

My favorite weekend show is Samurai Saturday (old, subtitled, b/w Samurai flicks).

I also watch a lot of Sundance and “Indy” stuff.

I need help, don’t I.

5. Hardly any
A couple hours a week. It's either on kid's shows or music. I'll watch a good movie if it's on and occasionally a good educational type of show like NOVA or Now on PBS, but generally, most TV, I find passive and dull and it doesn't keep my attention.

My husband doesn't get why I'm online so much in comparison, but wouldn't question if I spent a couple hours a day watching TV. I don't understand why it's still socially acceptable to sit passive in front of a box, but when you're actually interacting with people and feeding your brain, you're somehow weird?

6. TV timeout
I can honestly say I haven't turned one on
for myself in 5 years. Probably longer. If
someone is watching the Simpson's or South
Park I'll watch a little. Reading and
playing guitar are how I while away the time.

Commercials annoy me and cable is overpriced.

I'm a DU addict though.

7. 10 -15. My favorite channel is Turner Classic Movies
I've significantly added to my video collection because of TCM. Great, great movies.

And as a plug...the TCM website is pretty cool.

16. So Jealous Of You! Our Cable Provider Has Dropped TCM
in favor of CRAP and MORE CRAP and some PPV Crap and some International CRAP and some sports CRAP.

Before moving closer to DC, my favorite cable network was TCM. I definitely need to get a dish.

19. That dish might be a good investment.
Fortunately, my cable provider still carries TCM (they dropped C-SPAN2. I wish they would drop the Golf channel...as useless a channel as I could devise, IMO).

I'm glad TCM is there...as American Movie Classics has really gone downhill.

Get the dish, Allen. You'll have access to a lot more channels.

8. 2 Hours a Month, If that.
Television is a powerfull tool, very dangerous in the wrong hands. Before the election of 2000 I watched maybe an hour or two a day, mostly PBS.

After the election, and particularly after the start of the war I just can't seem to stomach it at all. TV now seems to elicit a visceral reaction from me. An overwhelming sense of cognitive dissonance.

10. Practically none.
I don't own a tv, so the only time I ever see it is when I'm at someone else's house. If I must watch tv, I like the History Channel, CBC, A&E, Comedy, and the Sci-Fi Channel (lehavdil).

14. Maybe 7 hours a week.
I don't watch every day. There are some shows I try to catch regularly. My favorite channel is probably PBS. I like NOW, Frontline, and (don't laugh) This Old House. I also catch at least 1 episode of the Simpsons per week. I also watch Enterprise, and if I'm home on a Monday Night, I have a thing for (don't hate me) Fear Factor.

I also love SNL, but I usually don't stay up that late since I work 9-5 on Saturdays and Sundays.

And we usually rent a couple movies each month.
