How do you get rid of a "hickie"
Or at least expedite it's fade away. Serious question. Unwanted blemish on the neck. Not really had to deal with them before, or at least as a grown up. Any advice appreciated.

1. Well, it's a bruise........
Doesn't matter how you got it......it's still a bruise!

So.....today, cold compresses every 3 to 4 hours, for about 15 minutes at a time.......

Tomorrow, the same regime with heat........

Cover with a scarf in the meantime......

Avoid aspirin as this aggravates the bleeding........

Good luck! I hope it was worth it!

:hi:

I use Topricin creme on bruises, which is arnica and some other stuff. It helps.

18. Apply Helichrysm directly to the bruise. It will be gone in 24 hours.

It's an essential oil available at Whole Foods Markets or at most stores selling homeopathic remedies.

29. In my experience,
I've found that you can only get rid of them in the early stages....After that, you're pretty much stuck.

In the past, I've used a lipstick cap. Put it on the hickey, apply pressure and rotate it slightly in a circular motion. I usually had to do that about 20 times and it would usually be gone within hours.
