3. Does subbed anime count?
Ouran High School Host Club and BLEACH would then happen to be my favorite current shows. They're shown on TV in Japan, then subbed by fans and put online :D

5. Project Runway!
I hope Bravo reruns the first two seasons, as I just broke down and got cable for the first time in two years about 2 months ago.

The only other show I watch regularly is Eureka on the SciFi channel.

I was really looking forward to Boston Legal for Shatner and Spader, I've heard great things about it, but as it's on ABC, I'll probably not watch. Sigh.

Second on my list is NCIS. I think Mark Harmon is cute, and I love the rest of the cast too. Got of give them a lot of credit for blending the comedy, drama, and mystery so well.

And I must be an optimist, because saying Deadwood is a "current" show is definitely an optimistic viewpoint (it's been "canceled", but fans have been promised two two-hour movies to wrap it all up...I'll believe it when I see them, though.)

"The Office" is a close runner up for a "current" fave.

And I've also recently gotten into Showtime's "Weeds" and "Brotherhood", which are both really good.

73. I'm REALLY gonna miss that one.
I've watched the series at least 6 times now and I've concluded that I like it better than Seinfeld. And I LOVED Seinfeld.

83. Why would you miss it?
Are they not going to make anymore seasons or something? I hadn't heard anything like that, so I wondered what you meant. I know Larry "died" in the end of season 5, but he came back, so I assumed the series would continue. I don't have HBO, I've only watched all the DVDs, so I wouldn't necessarily be in-the-know about it. Do tell...

84. I'm pretty sure L.D. said that he's got one more season left in him
I think he was sort of debating after the fifth season, but he's decided to do one more now.

101. Well, I was wrong.
I had read a while back on TV.com that it was very unlikely that the show would continue. But now I read that HBO has confirmed a sixth season.

http://www.tv.com/tracking/viewer.html?tid=97162&ref_id=3720&ref_type=101&tag=headlines;title;1

Happy day!

It's not going to air until 2007 though.

114. Why would you miss it? It's coming back for a 6th season.
It was confirmed by Jeff Garlin not too long ago, and HBO has said that they're currently wrapping up filming for it.

65. Stargate SG-1 of course
With SG: Atlantis and Dead Zone right behind it.

And if it's network TV, it would have to be CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the original.

75. "The Wire" is the best show by far. Artistically ambitious, superb
in all regards. Great writing, acting, social consciousness.

The best of all the HBO series, better than "The Sopranos".

Ignored by the Emmys for reasons unknown.

87. NFL Sunday, though I'd watch Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations if
I had cable.

The only other television I watch are syndicated shows in the afternoon. Of those, I love Eight Simple Rules and Bernie Mac, both of which are suprisingly sophisticated for television, I think.

Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 11:18 AM by mvd
I watch Y&R more consistently nowadays, but nothing beats a great Simpsons show. I also like Big Brother, though I was disappointed in the final two this year. I was rooting for Ivette last year, but this year I wanted Janelle to win. Will deserved to be with her in the final two.

100. Deadwood--even though I don't have HBO.
I Netflixed the first season--then bought it. A show that definitely bears repeating--will buy the rest, eventually.

Yeah, Colbert & the Daily Show are also Must See TV.

I watched Lost at first, but then lost track. Would Netflixing the DVD's put money in The Mouse's pocket?

And I'm becoming a Veronica Mars fan. (What to do after Buffy's gone.)

Guilty pleasure on BBCamerica: Footballers' Wives! Not current in the UK, but new to me.

I love the cranky crinkle factor. Am anxiously awaiting the OFFICE! And hoping for a decent Amazing Race since it has my 2 favorite things, travel and couples bitching while driving. So homey.
