Please!!!!!! Anyone live in Central NJ who is...
computer literate. I need a few things tweaked and such. I've had a falling out with my son who used to do all my computer stuff so I'm up shits creek without clue. The little devil always made everything so (scary music here) mysterious. If I asked he'd say, "You're on a need to know basis and you don't need to know."

My biggest problem are my pic files .jpg's and I'd like to become acquainted with my Kodak digital camera and printer dock. Also, my HP Printer is on the fritz when it comes to printing in color. I put the wrong cartridge in and had a hard time getting it out but I did. It prints text just fine in black and white.

Please, please help me if you can. I'll give you my first and only born. No?

Ok, $CA$H$

4. I live in Middlesex County
About 2 miles from New Brunswick - Rutger's State University, East Brunswick, etc.

Yes, it's a photo printer plus I have the Kodak docking station printer. The HP printer is not printing photos properly. As for the jpg files my son the genius said, I could move them by just dropping and dragging which I did and how instead of a clear pic I have ghost pics and error messages stating the file cannot be found. Not sure but, I think the problem is too many photo programs e.g. LProView, Kodak, etc. As I said, I'm clueless but maybe the file extension or name or whatever it is has to be changed  I'm afraid to do anything because I may do something wrong and lose all my pics.

6. Yeah, I can probably get it all straightened out for you.
And I'll be heading down to Rutgers sometime later this week. If you want me to see what I can do, feel free to PM me. I'm not working right now, so I'm available whenever.

3. Oh for the love of Mike,
You sound like me. I can't help you, I'm sorry. I'm starting classes in October. I am sick and tired of being at the mercy of my children with computers.

7. I just retired from a Ford plant so I can take them for free but,
My local junior college has adult classes for very little money. I think it's about 60 bucks for a 6 week beginners class. Look into it if you're any where near a JC.

8. Thanks hickman
Both our Vo-Tech and JC offer some classes. The Vo-Tech classes are geared mostly to certain programs such as Excel, MSOffice, etc. The JC has some that I think may not be what I need since I've passed 'On' 'Off', delete, how to use the internet and a few other basics

Damn, I knew I should have backed up the files to a disc. I was going to do that 'after' I got them all sorted out the way I wanted them. <sigh>

17. In case madmax has gone to sleep: there is nothing that needs doing any
more, there was a temporary glitch in his connection with DU, and this is a duplicate post, madmax was answered in the other post, so the PMs and posts got through.

18. Then take an advanced class. Pay your money
then politely request that they teach you what ever you need to know because, of course, you've paid. I have found that a lot of teachers love to teach. The ones that don't you'll know right away so you go back to the registrars office and ask for your money back. If they ask why, tell them. I got sick to death a long time ago of so called teachers that were abrupt and patronizing. I'm sorry if I sound managing, I'm really not....I think...
