(Chicago) Bears' shutout scores furniture shoppers free merchandise
Who knew football could get you free furniture?

Randy Gonigam of World Furniture Mall in Plano promised to pick up the tab for anyone who bought furniture on Labor Day weekend. The only catch to this furniture freebie: the Bears had to shutout the Green Bay Packers in the season opener. Now that that's a done deal, refunds totaling nearly $300,000 are on the way to more than 200 customers.

"I guess I am Gonna be a Bears fan now!" said Dottie Stanford, who won free furniture.

"I really had a feeling about it right from the beginning, and as the game went on, by the fourth, I knew there was no chance that it wasn't going to happen," said owner Randy Gonigam, World Furniture Mall.

1. Dear Lord! Somebody in Detroit needs to do this.
It'll never happen, but I can dream.
