Add some steam for a little while, and some salt... :9

6. Why?
Does it taste different?

It looks delicious! Well... like it could be... with some preparation...

mmmmmmm... giant broccoli...

And now I have that 'choppin broccoli' song in my head.

15. Because the chain saw is noisy
And rude at the table. :P

Actually, I would think that the broccoli would lose taste with size, maybe? Or in danger of being carnivorous and biting my head off. :o

16. Heh true...
The size thing... but I'd still take it out back, saw it down to size, and cook it, just in case. ;)

And now I'm remembering that episode of the Power Puff Girls

8. In this case...
Your daughter would probably say this is a BIG tree. :-) She may want to build a treehouse in it instead!

13. I think it threw in Queens and the Bronx for good measure
As a rule, I do not eat broccoli bigger than my head. It's wisdom I learned from my grandmother. She knew her broccoli!

5. It's poisonous
I will firmly maintain that in the face of any evidence, scientific or otherwise, that people wish to present.

That stuff is not about to go down my throat - except as broccoli and stilton soup.
