One of the three Waffle Houses within a mile or so of here (we live near two interstates) had a strategic light failure on their giant sign such that the U was burned out on both sides. You can bet they got that fixed double-fast.:D

1. Crapping Room...

2. Not recently, but in the mid-80s, I saw a Shell station that had one

of the old-style signs, and the S was burned out. Said "Hell Oil". :P

6. Do you notice that esp here in NC,

some kid ALWAYS takes the trouble to shoot out the "S" in that sign? Everywhere I go! :D

7. Yeah, for some stupid reason, that seems to be true!

:rofl: And some smartass kid once rearranged the letters on a beauty shop marquee near my mother's house that was supposed to say "PERM SALE" and ended up saying "SPERM ALE" after the letter bandits got hold of it! :rofl:

..'cause I laughed my ASS off when I saw that! :rofl: :rofl: I'd been at Mom's for the weekend, and it said "PERM SALE" when I got into town. Leaving town on Sunday, though, the pranksters had been at it and changed it to "SPERM ALE". :rofl: Had the laugh of the month there....

4. Back in college...

a storm hit our town, and the local Ponderosa's sign was altered so that at night, it lit up to say PONDER. And we did, and we relected our our lives. Further down the road--I am not making this up--there was a car dealership called Gary Force, and one of the lights went out on the huge lit sign, so at night, the car dealership became the headquarters for Gay Force, the nation's top covert organization in the homosexual agenda, which any fellow red-stater will tell you exists.

5. Invincible Worms

Movie marquee near my house right now has ran out of room for all the movies. They are showing Invincible and How to Eat Fried Worms and so they have a line on the marquee that says;

Invincible Worms.
