Actually, we've eaten from this bag 2x this week, with no ill effects (no pun intended, hehe). I'm not going to waste perfectly good food. And I sautee it, so, I'm not super concerned, regardless :)

(I didn't. I had to go looking for the information since we had it LAST NIGHT! Raw, no less. sigh)

Sauteeing *might* not kill the bacteria. It's a pretty hardy strain. And particularly virulent.

I don't want "waste" mine, either - but . . . I think I'll wait another day or so to see if they narrow it down to the brand/lot, etc - before I toss it. If you do cook it - cook it THOROUGHLY.

I bought a new bag on Tuesday that didn't expire until next week. Tonight I was going for easy---homemade mac-n-cheese with salad and broccoli. We just had the mac-n-cheese and broc on the side. Call me paranoid, but I don't need any illnesses right now (like anyone does) The thing that sucks, is the WHOLE reason I buy spinach for my salads is because it is the healthiest, having the most antioxidants.
