The top two are my truck's old header gaskets. Note the rather obvious source of the exhaust leak in the middle one. At bottom is one of the new ones, which are layered aluminum and guaranteed not to blow.

I prolly looked somethin' like this, except I was leaning over the fenders, not crawling underneath — well, except when I unbolted and re-bolted the collectors:

Hey, I'm not fuckin' with you. Well, maybe this post a little. I thought you were more familiar with header gaskets and their rather short life span. The steel composite gaskets you pictured look pretty tough. Since the headers are down on my mill, I may try a set.

For the Lounge, car guys are generally well aquainted with the ephemeral qualities of header gaskets. They are more of a suggestion than a solution.

Take it from someone who insists (unwisely) on white headers.

94. Both throwaway dogs

both near death when I found them 6 years apart. The older one is named Teak (she is the red one on the right)...now close to 11 years old. The black one is Jordan, her story would break your heart, but now I have had her for 6 years and she is a happy little girl and more loving and faithful than you can imagine. Both are the best dogs that NO money could buy. They had a rough start in life, but now live by the ocean and go canoeing and walking (running when they were younger) and always swimming..Mostly now, they hang out on the couch...couple of potatoes, the two of them...and they love their cat sisters and brother...They are my sweet girls.:)
