I bloody well HATE friday nights around here (my home not the Lounge).

so I was off to the store to get some soda. Store is a block away.

So there's 4 apartments here, mine is furthest east and there are three to go past then there's another street.

Lots of rowdies coming to see one of their friends. Hard not to notice when one of the idiots horks so loud and spits in the courtyard.

Anyways I grab a pepsi and walk home on the road on the main street. Several of them are outside and one can with a beer bottle leaning up against a car talking to them. I spot empty beer bottle on ground. Gee, not where they go, I pick it up and hand it to guy leaning on car. Thanks he says. :eyes: I start to go home. They all seem to pile into a small car (like 8 of them?) and drive away.

I call landlords who are in building "2", next to mine and with a ringside view of rowdies I think. Nothing they can do if they don't know who it is but they'll keep an eye on things. Okay. Whatever.

I go out cause, let's face it, I've got nothing else to do and I know the idiots left a mess. Another 2 bottles/1 can found in the bushes. I lined them up on the apartment doorway. No sense of them remaining in the bushes.

that's what I hate.......drunken pigs.

I know I'm turning into an old, neurotic apartment dweller but I don't care.
Thing is, in MY building, I notified about this same kind of thing. Parties are great, but don't leave your crap for everybody else to clean up, and the landlords actually CAUGHT the offenders in the act and they were issued a written notice and head office got notified.

There are a lot of really decent people here, just normal folk who don't bother anyone and are respectful of others. I just HATE these idiots who bring their shitty friends over and wreck things for everybody.

Cripes, all this for just going to the store to get a stupid softdrink.

2. More places ought to put up cameras
Mine has a problem with partiers, sordid litterbugs, and sleaze who feel fit to scribble and carve into wooden benches. And I don't feel safe looking at the "Gaggle of 6" who like to chat amongst themselves in hushed tones in obscure corners of the parking lot... (they get stared at frequently by many, I noted. But I'm not giving them sympathy. They've not been friendly in the past, and the day one of them stood next to me reading the paper as I fumbled for my keys while holding onto 30 pounds of groceries and goodies - utterly disrespectful AND the first time ANY tennant I know of was so condescending and rude. Most people in my building help each other for even basic stuff like that and I've helped other people too. Times have changed. Not for the better. Gotta change with them, so I make note of who is nice and who isn't. And leave the not-nice ones alone.)

5. The few assholes have to ruin things for everybody........
I'm a little disappointed with my male landlord guy tonight, I like it when the gal answers the phone (she's such a sweetie!)

He's okay but sometimes it seems like he can't really do anything. Maybe that's my impression tonight, and I'm cranky.

Well, guy your apartment was facing the commotion tonight so you indeed look out for it. :eyes:

I feel like the resident Dorm Mom sometimes. I missed my calling in life.

4. Sounds like my life when I lived in a heavily Dominican neighborhood.
Christ almighty, it was always filthy and litter strewn with human waste, broken bottles, intact bottles, food containers from the chinese take out and McDonalds and others, crack vials, cans, plastic bottles, and whatever the hell else they were too lazy to dispose of properly, all while blasting their stereos at levels that Pink Floyd would take notice.

7. I witnessed them may times tossing bottles from windows.
And this in NYC, where trash cans are fucking everywhere - I witness countlessly, constantly, exasperatedly, as shitbags, walking along, tossed their glass bottles into the street with a trashcan 10 feet away from them; or just drop the wrappers from their constant, ignorant, purile primitive gum chewing on the street as they walked along.

It was goddamned disgusting.

The morning after the great blackout of 2003 was a fucking abomination - our electricty came on about 7 am, when we woke up (after barely sleeping because the filth blasted their car steroes until 4 or 5 am up and down the entire neighborhood of Hamilton Heights) we went for a walk - the sidewalks were literally carpeted with trash and broken glass. CARPETED.

8. that's sickening.....I would have freaked!
Seriously, I have such a low tolerance for that kind of behaviour.

God, who wants to live in the gutter, not me. :(

That's crappy, Rabrrr, maybe I've got it really good where I am, it's just a few losers every weekend. :(
