Welcome to the weekend edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :woohoo: I hope you had a great Friday and you're ready for a relaxing and fun two days off! It was an OK day for me. We took Tony to the groomers and it turns out that his coat had so many tangles down next to the skin that they had to shave him. :cry: So, the poor thing just has a thin layer of fur now and he looks half the size he was. So, no pictures. Not until it grows out and we can give him a show coat.

I have to work today, but not tomorrow and so I'm going to have a nice relaxing Sunday with Greekspeak and our two children here at home! :bounce: I'm really looking forward to it too!

So, let's get this weekend started out right, my crew! :bounce: Time to get up and get around!

13. Well,

I was supposed to go to San Fran with my dad to go visit my bro. Anyway, we were flying JetBlue for the first time ever. Anyway, I am scared shitless of flying, absolutely shitless. So AS I'm this nervous, I felt the only way I could quell my fear was with apricot brandy. Day one of NOT GOING, I was neck-deep in it, and the flight was delayed to the point where we'd miss our connection. So dad dropped me home. Day two, yesterday, same thing. Dad & I agreed we just couldn't go, and bro got mad. We said "some other time". So bro & I got on the phone. I don't drink much these days so the brandy had me by the head, and I got into a huge, terrible argument with one of the people I love most in the world. We forgave each other almost instantly.

I miss him so much. But today I'm going to pick up kitty from the "Cattery" and enjoy a very sweet day with her. And post some, I think.

I've got up, had breakfast, drunk coffee, lamented KitchenWitch's prolonged absence, gone to the dentist (checkup - no problems), mooched around town, bought a pair of slippers and a shirt and a tie and come back home again. Now I'm brewing tea. I guess it's okay so far. :)

There is a cut-off date. If I don't take vacation before that cut-off date, I can't take any until after the first of the year. For us, the holiday set begins on 01 October. Actually...now that I think about it, I'm probably already too late. DAMN!

I got called yesterday morning to go over and lay out the basement bathroom so the builder could call in the plumber for the pre-plumbing before they pour the basement floor. They usually do that later, but the design of the house requires them to do it now so they'll have some support for the frame. (Most of the front of the basement is open ... for windows to go in. So there's nothing to build on without the basement poles.) I was being all lazy and trying to get my butt in gear and they called as soon as I got into the shower. Then I had to move my butt!

Finally . . . I've got some time to chat. Decided not to go rowing this morning and sleep in. Just needed too. Work continues to be wicked, so wicked that I'm going in for a couple of hours today. But it just can't be helped. The only bonus to that, if you can call it a bonus, is that the farmer's market is just down the street from my office. I love the farmers market!
