I ask this because my cat lost her voice, she's very vocal, and before you ask, she's healthy, already was sent to the vet for shots, and the vet checked her throat, she has no upper respatory infections, no fever, lymph nodes are fine, and no tonsilitis.
This started when the weather around here changed, it was a steady high 90s, then it droped to the 60s to 70s for the past couple of weeks, now its creeping up in tempurature again. At first, I thought it might be the cold, problem is, my cat doesn't display in symptoms, her nose drips when she has the cold, and she coughs, neither of which have happened.
So I asked the vet if their was anything he can do, he said she most likely has laryngitis, but with no sign of swelling or inflammation, there is little he can do, but she should stop using her voice. As I said, she's VERY vocal, just right now, she sat right in front of me and meowed, for food, and a squeak came out instead.
I'm stumped really, just wondering if anyone has any idea what to do. The thing is, her voice isn't "hoarse", rather it became REALLY high pitched and squeaky.
