1. Buy the Apple Care extended warranty.
I've had my iPod for three years without a problem (and I abuse the thing), but I've had friends that have had problems. With the Apple Care, they were just given a new better iPod when it died.

Fortunately, they were in their original boxes, so that padded their fall. I'm from Jersey, lots of things fall off of trucks here.

Despite your insistence that Apple scammed you, it is still not a "well-known scam." Just admit you have a hard-on for bashing Apple and move along please.

Also with a decent cover, the case won't show damage.

And damn, my iBook is almost 3 years old. They owe me a new one for my dedication to the company, even though this one works great.

Just kidding. I actually like their Stuffed Shells dinner, but since I'm a pescarian, I prefer Amy's for tv dinners. All of their stuff is vegetarian. Their frozen pizzas are excellent, but pretty over-priced. An occaisional splurge on their 3-cheese with the corn meal crust is definitely worth it though. I guess I work for them, too.

111. Hmmm...let's see...
I have two cars: A Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Saab 9-3. I prefer the Saab, but I can't afford to insure it currently. The Jeep sucks on gas mileage, but it also has 141,000 miles on it and never had a problem beyond general maintenance. Both the Jeep & the Saab are good in the snow, but the Saab has better overall handling. Actually, everyone in my family drives Jeeps along with having Apple Computers, because my stepdad's company has a fleet of Jeeps as company cars, so my Jeep was a former company car.

Clothing-wise I'm currently wearing clothes from American Eagle (jeans), David & Goliath (t-shirt), Abercrombie & Fitch (underwear), and the Gap (bra).

My camera is an Olympus.

TV=Panasonic
DVD=Toshiba
VCR=Sony

My printer is an HP, as are my parents & sister's printers.

I'm drinking a Diet Dr. Pepper and my ATV was made by Polaris. We have four boats: a Grady-White, 2 Boston Whalers (one is 34 years old!) and a SeaHunt.

I demand corporate compensation for the advertising I just provided.

60. I already own a video iPod, and I'm thinking of getting a shuffle too.
I guess that means I also shill for apple, because I'm so happy with their products?

The reason I'm thinking of getting another is the shuffle is SO tiny, I wouldn't mind taking it everywhere I go, and it still holds a gig of music. I'll still use my video iPod too, for when I want my entire music library with me, but they'll each have their place. Kind of like owning more than one pair of shoes, with one pair being dress shoes and the other being for sports.

And, they're just so darn cute :-)

that is probably from frequenting the Lounge and some small sub-forums.

But that is beside the point - the point was that the claim that you and haruka were 'working for apple' was a at best completely unsupported.

edit: I bought one the same day I bought my video iPod, and haven't regretted it in the least. There's a couple of scratches on the screen of the Otter now, but my iPod is still pristine, and looks brand spanking new. I've been swimming with it, no problems.

One thing I like about the Sony earbuds is that they are black. First of all, that matches my ipod, second, but more importantly, it doesn't scream "small expensive gadget for the taking here" to every would-be thief in the area as the white ones do.

The music you've loaded onto it for playback doesn't show up in the files when using it as an external hard drive. I think the iTunes folders on it are just hidden though, not on a separate partition.
