File naming/copying questions on my Mac
Cross-posted from the Mac Users group...

I'm trying to use iPhoto and it does not seem very user-friendly to me.

How does one rename a file in my iPhoto library? I clicked on every menu item and got no options to edit the name of a file? Or, to rename, or similar.

When I download from the camera, they are like IMG_0811.JPG. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to rename the file to something like "Florida Trip Jan 2006 1.JPG" or something similar where I can actually remember what is on the picture.

I see Duplicate or Make Alias, but Make Alias seems to be more of a shortcut, and not something you can email to somebody.

I also cannot figure out how to view thumbnails versions of the picture when trying to attach to an email. The only way around this seems to be to copy the files I want to email in my iPhoto library to my desktop and then finding them on my desktop and attaching them to an email. It seems like a lot of work for what should be a simple task.

1. It's easy on mine.
I click on the photo I want and then, in the lower left-hand corner, just above the "Print" and "Slideshow" buttons, there's a box that says "Title." I type whatever title I want in there. Never used a menu button for it because it's right there. What version of iPhoto are you using?

2. Forgot to ask
If I wanted to put 4 pictures on one page for printing, how does one do that?

3. That one I don't know.
So sorry! I only have a black-and-white printer, so I never print photos.

5. The name doesn't stay on mine
If I rename something, it stays renamed in iPhoto, but if it goes anywhere else, it reverts to the original name.
