Daniel Smith is Anna Nicole Smith's son. Nothing about "Bill Smith"--
his father, apparently divorced from Anna in 1985. I can't find ONE detail on this family.

Who is Bill Smith? Is he dead? Or just absent when his son dies?

If he's NOT dead, what's the reason there is no information on this person?

Thanks for posting if you know anything about him.

1. Apparently, he goes by Billy
One paragraph here http://people.aol.com/people/article/0,26334,1533524,00.html In case the link breaks, it's as follows:
"Daniel's father, Smith's ex-husband Billy Smith, tells TV's Extra of the death of his son, "It's so sad. I hated that it happened. He was so young. I'm sort of in shock right now." According to Extra, Billy Smith had not seen his son since Daniel was two years old and last spoke to his ex-wife in 1996."
Other articles say that they married when she was 16 and he was 17, and divorced two years later.

2nd Autopsy Inconclusive on Smith's Son
By MICHAEL MELIA, Associated Press Writer
1 hour ago

NASSAU, Bahamas - The examiner who performed a second autopsy Sunday on Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son said he could not yet determine the cause of death.

Cyril Wecht, a forensic pathologist who gained fame as a critic of the government's probe into John F. Kennedy's assassination and as a consultant in Elvis Presley's death, ruled out several potential natural causes including heart disease, stroke or a "congenital anomaly."

He also affirmed findings by Bahamas investigators that foul play did not appear to be involved in the young man's death, which was labeled "suspicious" by the coroner's office because the cause was still unclear.

He said he has requested Daniel Smith's medical records from the United States and ordered further tests that could take weeks to complete. He said he had sent samples to a lab in the United States for further examination, including toxicology tests.

"I don't find anything that would cause me to believe there is something in terms of some traumatic injury that was inflicted, or somebody having done something to him in some cryptic manner that could not be observed," Wecht told reporters outside the morgue where he performed the procedure.

6. Maybe the toxicology reports will reveal something.
How often do autopsies yield NO CONCLUSIVE RESULTS?

Somebody smarter than me will have to come up with an answer to that one.

Stay tuned.

How sad for everyone involved.

10. Seems strange for such a young boy to have a heart attack.
I agree, there is something strange about this. I don't blame Ms. Smith for doing everything she can to find out what is going on. I know I would.

11. This could take awhile
A 20-year old Penn State student was found dead back in April or May, and it wasn't until August that all the tox results came back and they were able to rule the death natural (pneumonia).
