Yesterday I passed a house strewn with Halloween junk
The front lawn was covered with store-bought crap, like a giant inflatable pumpkin.

On September freaking 17th, man. :eyes:

1. You know, the rapture didn't take, the end of the world is late,
so who are you to complain about nice people who celebrate Halloween a bit early? Huh? Huh?

2. The guy across the road put his up this last weekend.
My wife immediately asked when I was putting ours out.

"Ummmm.....OCTOBER?!?!?!"

Of course, I'm the guy that doesn't pull his Christmas lights down until March, so I really shouldn't be griping about out-of-season decorating :)

3. hehehe
One of my little jobs that I do for my apt. manager is tape fliers to everyone's doors- we have one tenant who has covered their door from top to bottom with cutesy halloween crap, and same fake blood looking jelly stuff. :) (This was last week)

5. Is this part of the War on Halloween?

I admit that I don't get it either. Some of the local stores here had Halloween decorations out in the middle of August. Don't get me wrong. I love Halloween!...in October! This is much too early to be putting out pumpkins and skeletons.

9. I've already decorated for Hallowe'en.
I decorated a couple of days after labor day. It's my favorite holiday. (Probably becasue I was never allowed to celebrate it as a child; we had to stay in and give tracts to all the trick-or-treaters.)

It makes me happy. There's nothing major between now and Hallowe'en. (I wouldn't decorate for Christmas right now, if it were my favorite holiday, because Hallowe'en and Thanksgiving are major and they're between now and Christmas.)

But it makes me happy and so I say Why not?

Ya'll want this party started QUICKLY!

Any excuse to ramp up Halloween festivities makes fudge VERY happy. Search the archives for the All-Liberal Ghoul-a-palooza and you'll see what I mean.

More power to em!

27. Miss America 2010
with full robe and hijab.

Haven't picked out a costume this year, because we're wondering if the party is going to take place. I haven't been feeling as good this year, and it's looking more and more like we're going to have to give the party a year off. Which makes me very sad.

16. I loooooovvve Halloween...
but i HATE cheesy decor. Now, sometimes I get some for hubby, 'cause he thinks it's funny, but I am so obsessed with Halloween/All Hallows that I want to buy a Victorian JUST so I can have a decent looking Haunted House. I'm bad.

19. I wait until almost the 30th to put my stuff up
'cause once that stuff goes up, I don't get my house back until after New Years.

I hate to sound like a Scrooge, but...

:scared:

(besides, everyone else is already starting so if my kids wanna look at that stuff, all they've gotta do is look around when they walk down the street)

She loves Halloween.

As do I.

I don't like the cheap ass decorations that's associated with Halloween, though.

24. I'm thinking about getting some of those Jack-O-Lantern leaf bags
That way at least the pile of trash on our curb (the county sanitation people are out on strike) will look festive.
