The weirdest question I've ever seen on an employment application

Yesterday I filled out an application to be a Soybean Processor. We have a soybean oil/soybean meal plant in Fayetteville. Cargill owns it; they're probably total sluts but at least it's not ADM or ConAgra, and it pays lots better than what I do now.

There are two parts to Cargill's employment application--an application, and a skills test. On the skills test, they start out with a lot of real simple math problems...then go into being sure you can spell.

The last question: "Write a set of instructions for making breakfast, in 300 words or less."

I hope to hell that they weren't trying to figure out if you cook with their products, because nothing in my instructions had anything to do with soybeans.

1. That is freaking weird, but I wouldn't worry about it.

They probably just wanted to make sure you can write clearly and, judging by your post, you can.
