Funny envelope sighted at post office

OK, I work at the post office, processing mail for various cities, mostly in California, but a few other places as well. Last night a letter passed my desk that made me smile (this kind of smile: :evilgrin: )

It was addressed to "George W. Bush and his torture buddies." The sender also had a LW cartoon about Bush and torture pasted on the front. I looked at the return address and it was from an upscale town in Southern CA, and I can't recall the sender's first name and wouldn't post it anyway, it was something more common among older generations.

So thank you little old lady from La Jolla, for letting George Bush know what you think about him and giving a left leaning postal worker a smile.

I always wonder if postal workers are reading the comments I put on envelopes or post cards...They probably are, eh?

2. We're really not supposed to...

not just for privacy reasons, but for time reasons, but sometimes it's impossible not to, like when an envelope is really "busy" and it's not clear what the address or apartment number is, you kind of have to wade through all the stuff.

Sometimes they are funny and sometimes sad, like when a child writes "I love you, Daddy" on a letter that's addressed someone in prison. :cry:
