Best house smell?
For me, it's all about the house smelling like food. Bacon's good, but sticks around a little longer than I'd like.

I think baking cookies, or anything with a good solid vanilla bean smell that fills the house....my folks used to, when selling a house, boil some water on the stove with vanilla in it. :)

...Although that "garlic goin' in the olive oil" smell is a good one, too.

6. Actually...I do...
I have a cast iron grill pan. I just have to make sure the windows are open, or else the smoke alarm goes off. Living in an apartment, I'm not allowed to have my own outdoor grill. The ones provided by the complex are...scummy, to say the least.

9. Yankee Candle has a flavor called Hazelnut Coffee
with the price of coffee these days, don't waste a good pot. Buy the candle!

They have other flavors like Apple Crisp, Banana Bread, Toll House Cookie. And they smell real, not fake.

15. I have one of those candles
It smells pretty good, but it's a little too sweet. And don't worry, I never watse coffee. If I make a pot, I usually drink most of it.

16. Oooh, that's a good one.
Reminded me of another: that first day it rains in the late summer, and all the windows are already open, and that kind of dusty rainy smell gets in.

:)

12. Red beans and rice, or lemons in the garbage disposal. Or cloves.
Boil cloves for a while to get rid of bad house smell. Something about them smells like fresh air.

13. Make your own.... Chai
Make your own chai and your house will smell wonderful for hours. The ingredients are....cloves, ginger, cinnimon stick, cardamon seeds, vanilla, nutmeg and black tea. Not only will your house smell great, but you also end up with a great drink...especially for the winter.

Below is a web site with a variety of chai recipes...

is roasting coffee beans. I got a coffe roaster for Christmas, and tried it out on Saturday. Even better than coffee brewing.
