1. slimy and yummy
Okra is not my favorite vegetable in the world. (Plus it won't grow in my garden for some reason).

On the other hand, nothing beats fresh corn on the cob.

6. Fried Okra is NOT slimy. Boiled okra is however like
live snakes...

I hated okra until I ate it fried.

I have also eaten it in a sort of quick stir fry with other vegetables in a curry at my local favorite Indian place and it was fabulous, not one bit slimy. It is sort of a hot dry cook peculiar to Indian cooking. Yummy

I also sometimes throw a handful of cut up frozen okra in vegetable soup.
