1. As a Pittburgher Clark is good with me...
although I should be pissed off that Clark moved to Chicago in the 80's. Hershey makes good Pennsylvanian stuff, is the Whatchamacallit associated with Hershey?

3. I believe so
However, it's been many years since I've seen the Whatchamacallit, so I don't know that they still produce it.

our campus snack shop has Clark bars but they are on a bottom shelf and don't look very fresh at all.

4. I was surprised to learn CLark Bars are built around peanuts
Keep that in mind when distributing them at rallies and so forth. We don't want someone having a fatal reaction from eating one.

I know it sounds rediculous but some folks are really very sensitive to something in peanuts.

5. This Product May Contain Peanuts
I love that warning, and the lack of certainty it implies: "We're not absolutely sure there are peanuts in this product. It may contain peanuts, but damned if we didn't lose the recipe!"

I would imagine that, for a person allergic to peanuts, eating a product with the "May Contain Peanuts" warning is a bit like gambling in Las Vegas; you may win, or you may die. Okay... maybe it's more like gambling in Atlantic City.
