I'VE SEEN ALL GOOD PEOPLE....
I've Seen All Good People

I. Your Move
Anderson

I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.

Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
Is for us all to capture all we want
(Move me on to any black square)
Yea, yea, yea.

Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself.

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit
Didda.
Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care

Don't surround
Yourself with yourself.
Don't surround yourself.

Send an Instant
Karma to me. Don't surround yourself.

1. When I was young

I never needed anyone
And makin love was just for fun
Those days are gone

Livin alone
I think of all the friends Ive known
But when I dial the telephone
Nobodys home

All by myself
Dont wanna be
All by myself anymore
All by myself
Dont wanna live
All by myself anymore

Hard to be sure
Some times I feel so insecure
And love so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Dont wanna be
All by myself anymore
All by myself
Dont wanna live
All by myself anymore

3. About a year ago, after years of listening to that
I finally noticed Give Peace a Chance is "quoted" in it. That was after seeing the recent acoustic live version and then hearing the original on the radio.

4. Always knew that.
Had a KILLER stereo in college: top of the line DUAL turntable/SHURE with DYNACO Pre-amp and amp I build myself, and home built speakers (Used Klipshorns as a design).

WOW.

5. I don't think it was lack of fidelity
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 12:47 PM by notmypresident
Rather it was hearing it without any, uhhhhm, herbal accompaniment. :-)

7. Not from anything herbal
Now 5 tabs of a certain substance, half a bottle of crown royal, and plenty of herbs and I saw a Pink Floyd concert in my living room.

Really. :-)

8. we had something I'll bet you never saw.
A 500 tab bottle of something with 3 initials. The pharmaceutical stuff, made in Switzerland by SANDOZ. 125 mikes each. UNBELIEVEABLE, and gave you a real frame of reference for when someone was passing off garbage.

4 of them (someone else was driving) and Robin Trower at the old Michigan Theater in Detroit.

Oh.My.God.

This was 1972.

9. Now who would have thought
a conversation about the band Yes would turn into a conversation about mind altering substances.

Bet that has never happened before. :-)

Yeah, by the late 70's most of that stuff probably wasn't really, or it was weak, although every once in a while something good would come along.

10. That song played in a dream 2 days before my dad died

And the dream was a common childhood dream I would have about my father rescuing me from a burning house - he'd pull me out of the fires and we'd live happily ever after.

But that dream I had was the same dream except when he got out of the fire, he died but I survived. And that song was playing (the first part) during the dream.

If you listen to the live version of "All Good People" towards the end you can hear them singing "All I can say now is give peace a chance"
