Am I the only one that can't stand Leonardo DiCaprio?

I am not sure what Martin Scorsese's deal is but in the his last three movies, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, and his upcoming "The Departed, he has used DiCaprio as a main actor in the movie. I just can't consider him a serious actor and he doesn't carry the presence to him which can often make up for mediocre acting. Am I wrong for thinking this?

sadly, I think Scorsese's use of him is just symptomatic of Scorsese's "getting down with the kids"
Scorsese's work has sucked for quite awhile now. His movies now look and feel just like those of everyone else. Can you honestly spot the difference between a contemporary Scorsese film and a movie by Ron Howard?

When that old lady was walking to the back of the boat, I started (quietly) chanting, "JUMP..... JUMP....." Others who had also been tortured for 3 frigging hours followed suit.

14. I worked at a movie theater when titanic was out....

We had two late runs of it and the later one got us out of there at around 1:30 am or so. If no one showed up to the late showing we didn't have to run it and we could go home earlier. Inevitably there was a group of three women who showed up for the latest showing of it and would talk about how this was the 4-5th time that they had seen it. Oh I wanted to smack them when they told me that.

But I think Scorcese has brought out a maturity to Leonardo DiCaprio.

The ONLY thing he was ever in that I enjoyed his performance was "A Boy's Life" and I think that he was just surrounded by so much talent in Barkin and DeNiro that he couldn't bring it down.

would put him on par with what I feel for Dubya, and though I'm not 100% sure, I don't think his performances have killed quite as many people.

I'd say I'm indifferent to him...I've only seen one or two movies with him in it; I don't watch much Hollywood stuff, anyway.

16. He's so overexposed I have trouble suspending my disbelief

enough to accept him as the character he's supposed to be in the movie. I think he's a decent enough actor from what little I've seen, but I wouldn't go see a movie just because he's in it.

I was chuckling at the end of Titanic when he freezes and Kate Winslet shoves him into the ocean. Was that wrong of me...? :D

I'll take these guys over DiCaprio any day...*drool*
