Yowza. When you make a batch that's too strong do you suffer through it? Or do you chuck it and make another?

4. The head of my journalism department used to tell us |
|
"You gotta be able to walk on it to call it coffee."

2. I think I've given myself some pretty bad heartburn b/c of my coffee |
|
I would triple or quad-strength it-- and I've been having a racing heart and bad heartburn. Maybe I should cut back...

It's a difficult delima...it's so tasty and wakes me up, but why does it need to make my heart race and give me heartburn?
BTW, I'll never go decaf-- that's just un-American.

8. I've never made a batch that's too strong, because there's no such thing! |
|
Yeah, I just drink it.
If it's really too nasty for you, you can dilute it, you know.

10. That's the coffee-drinkin' spirit! |
|
Just keep a blunt object handy in case it tries to crawl off on its own and you need to beat it back into the cup.
Some varieties need more convincing than others!

12. Perhaps you should balance it out with a big spinach salad, |
|
with a couple of raw eggs on top...
(And when the coffee's too strong I don't "chuck it" - I chuck it at the person who made it, and demand another pot right quick... )
