Cripes. I've got an ulcer.
Hey, having Bush in the White House can give anyone sane an ulcer, but this afternoon I got home from the hospital, ended up needing 3 pints of blood and that camera stuck down my throat.

NOT fun. :-(

Hopefully the medications will help heal it without having to have surgery.

The Sucralfate, now those are frikkin' horse pills! x(

1. Jeepers!
Have you been on any meds that caused ulcers?

Please take care of yourself!

2. Nope, but it does run in my family.
At least I don't have to give up favorite foods, like spicy food, or drink like good beer.
Didn't like spicy food or beer before.

3. Wow! Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Everyone always jokes about ulcers...but, as you know, they are not funny.

Get better soon!

5. Well, I don't drink coffee.
And I don't inhale chocolate the way I used to. :9

So I can "indulge" in a little chocolate, now and then.

7. surgery? Is it that bad?
I was in the hospital for a few days about a year and a half ago. I am sure they are not healed yet, but they do not cause alot of problems that I can notice. They did not give me any blood in the hospital either, although it seemed like the accursed vampires took several pints.

11. Right now it's rather small.
So hopefully I won't need surgery.

And I know what you mean about the "blood-test vampires."
I got poked so often I feel like a used pincushion.

12. For me...
None of the stomach pain some have, but I'm weak, little nauseous at times.

10. Peptic ulcer I assume.
Those can be real nasty. I hate that this happened to you but usually with some diet changes and meds, the ulcer heals just fine. I've had three ulcers starting at 17. They were all duodenal ulcers that aren't prone to bleeding but they sure did hurt.
