13. I was about 3 weeks
I had missed my period (which was like clockwork) and my boobs hurt like hell. I was totally freaked out because it was the last thing on my mind. Kind of an "oops", but not in a bad way. Hubby and I had been married about a year and half by that time so we were ready.

Damn, did ya ask for a novel. Sorry. ;)

I cant really explain it,It was like the feeling you get when your on an elevator.I felt like that as soon as I opened my eyes that morning.
I don"t know why my mind instantly interpreted that as "I'm pregnant" but it did. The subconscious is a curious thing indeed!

24. My dear wildhorses.......
Back in the day.......

I had a very regular cycle......I even knew when I'd be ovulating!

I usually had strong suspicions about the time my next period was supposed to be showing up.....

And I'd go to the doctor within the first month, just to make sure.........

Remember, this was back in prehistoric times, before there were any in-home pregnancy tests!

And I was never wrong.......

Those were magical days too.....creating life was, for me at least, the highest, best physical thing I could do..........

I loved being pregnant.........

61. Oh, it's there - but I am working on it.
I did cheat a few times and ate a pound or so of battered shrimp, but I'm making up for it by exercising.

But if I stand up straight, the whole thing disappears. But I do need to exercise more frequently...

The day I realize I'm sexy is the day somebody can tolerate me, nerdy, 4 butts, and all.

26. The one time I was pregnant, I knew about ten days into it.
I started getting breast tenderness and nausea. I didn't realize exactly what it was because it was nearly time for my period, but my dog Kara knew. She kept sniffing my abdomen and looking at me with a quizzical look. When I didn't get my period on time (I'm like clockwork), I got a pregnancy test and it was positive. I was sick as a dog until I terminated the pregnancy about eight weeks into it.

I never got the morning sickness or that stuff. A few months in I got the breast tenderness and the physical symptoms like that, but nothing related to nausea etc.

I thought I had the flu the first time, because I was on the pill. No one told me that antibiotics, which I'd taken a few months earlier for an infection, can reduce the effectiveness of the pill. Ah well...He was a sweet little accident!

It took so long with the second one because I was strangely in denial, but the stomach upset, insane craving for beef, and late period should have told me. I only have two children, though, because I lost the 3rd one seven weeks into the pregnancy.

68. With my daughter, I was about 3 months, because I was young and
wasn't looking for "signs". With my son, it was about 5 days before I missed my period. I wasn't feeling "right". I was a little bit sick, I could smell metal in the water when I took a shower ( I kid you not) and my head was "fuzzy"... I took a test, got a plus and confirmed with the dr. that day. (we had a lot of misses so I had a standing appt. whenever the test came in positive) :hi:

70. With the first, four-ish weeks, the other two, three-ish weeks.
After the first baby, I recognized this weird sick feeling that was unlike anything unrelated to pregnancy that I had experienced. With my last, it was a surprise, and it hit in a near-instant. I remember being in the car driving, and suddenly thinking, "oh no...I feel pregnant."

82. This reminds me of something that happened on "Family Feud"
During the "bonus round," where Richard Dawson asks a series of 5 questions to one contestant, and it starts with "100 people surveyed...," Richard said, "In what month do most women start to show signs of their pregnancy." The nervous woman who had to answer blurted out, "September!" and Richard Dawson had to stop the show until he recovered his composure.

86. About 4 or 5 weeks
I had just had surgery removing my right ovary in mid August of last year. I got married one month later and we headed out on the honeymoon. Hurricane Rita (then just a little ol' tropical storm) came blowing through the Bahamas so we had to stay inside :)

About 4 or 5 weeks later, we're having dinner with a friend and I mention to her that I thought I was coming down with something because I'd been a bit queasy that morning. She looked at me for a second and then she said nah you're just pregnant. I told her I couldn't be. She said - look your boobs are huge. Are they sore? You're just having morning sickness. I told her she was crazy.

Then that night we had been thinking that it had been a while since I'd had a period so on a whim we went and got a pregnancy test. Holy shit - she was right.

Isn't Carter Dean a beautiful baby?

88. I used to say at the moment of conception..
because I was :puke: before it was even time for me to have a period.

That's how I always knew..I'd get a smell of some food(different for each kid) and start gagging and think OMG I'm pregnant.

89. I think I knew when I conceived; something felt wrong all of a sudden.
I knew about three weeks later when my stomach started trying to forcibly remove itself from my body and get a separate mailing address for the duration.

Pregnancy was highly unkind to me, and I'm actually quite glad that my body said no way, no how and that since then, we've not had to worry.

Vasectomies are a great gift to women who like men....
