I promise, it's not sexual
Shooting a little macro today and I thought, "Hey how about a guess what this is" thread. So here ya go, guess it, title it, steal it. Everything I do is in the public domain, just ask George Bush.

1. Doesn't appear sexual
But looking inside of a flower is sensual. Nice pic.

6. No he doesn't
He flies up to that thing and thinks

NECTAR!!! I LOVE NECTAR!

It's got nothing to do with sex for him. In fact nothing has anything to do with sex for him, since he is an infertile drone. It's all about the sweetness.

Flowers are inherently sexual.

But it's not the object, but the perception of the object and the relevant ambient issues regarding the one who created the object.

She is one of my favorite painters...

But don't get me started on Picasso. I think he sniffed his paints...

18. I shoot digital sometimes
but what my passion is fixing and using really old cameras. This was shot on a 3X4 press camera called a Busch Pressman. The kind you see in old movies that reporters used.

This one was shot on a 75 year old Leica.

There are so many good cameras and lenses just begging to be used. They can be had for next to nothing and some of the old lenses are wonderful.

sometimes you have to sit on a dirt road and wait for the clouds to show up. When I take a large format camera out I pack a lunch. You may wait all day for one shot.

Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 08:44 AM by Maestro
Super expensive though and I think anyone who buys it is paying more for the name than anything else. Great pics!

27. I did
It's super expensive for the body. The newer Leica lens cost the same as some countries gross product. The old ones are not as bad. The glass used back then just has a great look. This was shot using a 55 year old Leica Elmar lens:

If someone enjoys street photography I couldn't recommend an old screw mount Leica and 50mm Elmar lens enough. I'm not really sure a digital color shot converted to B&W captures a moment the same.
