Shopping sucks. my morning rant
I needed few things for the house. normally, I don't mind shopping. I certainly don't hate it. But today, I hated it.

Kmart - nothing(and I mean nothing - rows and rows empty) on the shelves, high prices, no service. I realize their an American icon, but they should pack it in while people still remember the good days.

Target - advertised item not available at 2 stores on the first day of the sale. Signs from last week's sale still up.

Kohl's - Store looked like a tornado blew through and this was just after they opened. Only 2 cashiers available. The item that I wanted, of course, rang up 4 dollars higher than the sign. This appears to be part of Kohl's sale strategy. I didn't feel like arguing and I didn't want it that bad.

So I came home with nothing.

Wake, US retailers! It's not that hard - stock the items with the correct prices and provide enough staff that people can actually spend their money.

1. Hey...
I know you are busy, but try, if you can get away, to go in the middle of the week.
The trucks usually come after the weekend, and are stocked the first couple of days. Dinnertime on a weekday is gold.
The salesppl are usually not busy and not frustrated from tons of ppl on Sat. They are usually the older and more personable ones too.
ESPECIALLY if you are gonna try for those big stores---much much easier during the week. I NEVER go on the weekends unless there is a sale I have to get something from.
(I used to work at Hecht's)

2. It's usually not too busy early on weekends.
Actually, the best time to go grocery shopping is like 7 am on Sat or sunday. Everything is fully stocked and no one is there.

Weeknights are bad. Rush hour lasts until 7pm, so it makes getting anywhere difficult.

3. Be careful at Kohl's!
It is indeed their strategy to mislabel racks. The rack will say "Dockers Perfect Fit Khakis - $21.99"...but in the entire rack of khakis..only 2 pair will be Dockers Perfect Fit. You'll get Dockers Sucky Fit and Lee Too Tight Fit and Sonoma Knock Off Fit...but you'll be hard pressed to find what's advertised. You know they're hoping that people will get the stuff to the check out counter and not care that it's a few bucks more and just buy it.

4. At least they finally got price check machines
I love the people that would roll up to the register with 2 carts of clearance stuff and want the price checked on everything. Then pause while they decided. I didn't bother to check the price on this sweater since the brand and item matched the sign. Honestly, I think they change their prices several times per week and just didn't switch the sign.

If I recall correctly, they were sued in at least one state for this.
