Question for anyone who knows a lot about printers and ink cartridges...
I have a Lexmark printer; I don't know the exact model, but it is the X1100 series. It can accept both 16 black and 26 color, and 17 black and 27 color cartridges. The 16 and 26 cartridges seem to be the "regular" cartridges and the 17 and 27 say "Moderate Yield."

What the heck does "Moderate Yield" mean? If it is not as good quality as the 16 and 26 cartridges, I don't really care... I just want to print stuff that is legible- and the Moderate Yields are less expensive. On the other hand, someone told me the Moderate Yields have less ink, which means I could actually save money by buying the regular cartridges.

Can someone help me out? Which will give me more "bang for my buck?"

Peace,

P.S. I have been to the Lexmark website, and they weren't real clear on what the difference was.

1. What are the prices?
"moderate" suggests lower quantities of fluid. Possibly as much as 50%, knowing Lexmark...
