My dog has taken to running across the street into the neighbor's yard

And going potty over there. Yes, this is while I'm outside with her. I wouldn't let her roam the neighborhood unsupervised.

Guess that's the end of lettin' her run around off the leash in the yard. :(

She's Very submissive to people, and someone would have to be threatening her life for her to go off like that.

Because about the time you tell that to the mother of the 3 year old who's pulling her ears and poking her eyes, the child is going to get nipped and the dog will pay for it.

and staying close to me, until the last couple days. It just makes me sad because she loves to run. :(

Did your neighbors get a new pet or something?

We used to take our dog to a park and put him on a really long lead. He could run and we could still stop him if he headed for the road.

They have two dogs, but she doesn't even go up to the fence where they are. She just runs over to their tree and sniffs around. Sometimes pees.

I had one of those extendo leash things, but she snapped it.

We used a long piece of rope clothesline on the end of the leash. It was a little inconvenient, but it was good and strong ... and I could just stomp on the end of it to get his attention. Sure taught him the "come" command pretty quickly!

10. Our neighbor's dog does that and it drives me nuts...and he LETS

her. He watches her run over, pee on my dogwood and run back. I'm getting really irritated over it. We have a leash law in our city and it's a rather busy street. The guy across the street is an ass. :hi:

She's just faster than me. And she never had issues listening to me before. Guess I gave her too much freedom. :(

Maybe she's going through a "phase". How old is she? Even dogs are known to go through an adolescent stage where they push the limits a little. :hug:
