I saw some 32" skinny LCD ones for under $800 at a couple big box stores. A couple years ago the same tv's would have been over $2k.

1. Havocdad keeps mentioning the prices are going down
I point out that HDTV won't matter to a couple of geezers with failing eyesight like us!

Just saved 700 bucks ;)

2. welll TECHNICALLY...
.. with the sharper picture, your failing eyesight won't have to strain as hard.

.. with the larger screen 32-37"+ it would be like 'big type' on the screen, easier to see :D :D

3. But it will still be fuzzy
trust me, the whole world is fuzzy :hi:

Havocdad loves to read movie credits... well he used to. When I showed him how to make text larger on the DVD player, he thought I was a flippin genius. (It pays to read instructions LOL)

5. I've never really seen what's so great about it
I don't think the picture is enough of an improvement to justify buying a new TV.
