Damn.. I hate waiting for video to render...
I shot a video of one of our RAs who mad a bet with his floor that if the Packers beat the lions, they'd chop off his long hair. I made a star wars type intro and everything.

And now, It's all getting mixed down to one quicktime file. God, I love waiting for these to finish. The whole lot is like 10 minutes long. According to the little timeline It estimates another 2 hours.

Damn, I wish I had one of the Mac Pros all tricked out that cost about 15K. It wouldn't take but a moment to finish everything with one of those.

1. Same here!
Though I'm a total neophyte at it, I need (for work) to produce some basic working DVDs of dance pieces, nothing very long or with much editing.
I bought a very zippy laptop but didn't max out on the RAM, and seem to be paying for it now: the only thing that bogs down my rig is waiting forever to cut one disc of 1/2 hour of captured material.
Ugh.
Hang in there...:toast:

2. Right now, everything's finished. I'm burning the lot to dvds now.
I did make a special purchase of George Thoroughood's "Get a Hiarcut (and Get a Real Job)" for the intro over iTunes.

4. The Thorighgood song was for the menu screen
The intro was basically a ripoff of the Star Wars intros.

5. OK, I'm going to fix it (Again)...
Just thought up of a few nips and tucks to add to the final cut...

Now I get to repeat the whole process over again!
