Can a left-winger be a Straussian?
What if you believe that the American people are child-like, naive and stupid, they need to be lied to by their leaders, and that the American people need a firm hand to guide them in government? What if you believe that manipulation, subterfuge and outright dishonesty should be employed to achieve liberal policy goals?

:silly:

Well, this IS in the Lounge.

More seriously, I would say that while there is nothing in the laws of physics that say a LW'er can't be Straussian, probability would be against it.
