Calista "Skeletor" Flockhart as some kind of quasi-Ann Coulter type? Yech! I had to turn the channel after ten whole minutes. I wish Greys Anatomy was back on Sundays.

I thought Sally Field was great. Too bad about Tom Skerritt, though.

3. what about Tom Skerritt? |

I like him...did he die? I love the scene of him and Drew Barrymore in Poison Ivy...

I think this is the first series I've seen with any kind of a conservative viewpoint. I'm hoping the format of the TV show Calista is going to do will wind up looking more pro-liberal, though. It could get very interesting.

2. I think the actress who plays her sister is really good |

I like Sally Field too. It's a great cast, but there's too much going on in the plot. Or maybe I was just too tired last night to keep up.

and the tension between the mother and the Coulter wannabe was interesting. Could you imagine being against this war but having a daughter who encouraged your son to fight and then he died? That would definitely create drama in my house too. Then there's the whole mistress of the father situation and the missing funds from the family business. Another point I liked was how right-wing women LOVE to tell other women to take traditional female roles but then reject those very roles for their own career and fame. Flockhart's character is doing the same thing.
I'm not a Flockhart fan though and watching her "jog" made my eyes roll. I'm also not convinced she can pull off the bitchy Coulter character since she always has that wounded Ally McBeal look on her face 24/7.
Overall I thought it was good. Studio 60 is better though. ;)
