I ask a question about Linux the other day and someone was kind enough to mention that one version of Linux could run your system from a CD without a hard drive install. The version is like Debian Linux except it can run your computer if you have it boot from a CD drive.
These disk can be downloaded free and I will put up a link using the new 2.6 kernel. It is the announcement of the new kernel 5 days ago that I was waiting for. I have no experience with that version, but I take it from the forums that this guy knows what he is talking about. There is no real cost and it could give people a chance to experience Linux in easy fashion in a way that does not mess with their present OS.
The reason I was inspired to put this up is that the website he mentioned-
http://www.knoppix.net/ - has had a big increase in their forums today.
There is nothing to lose and if it is free, it's for me.
