2. You'll do it if you want to. You won't if you don't.
You're a big boy, nobody can convince you to do anything you don't already want to do.

You've never seen me with my pants down! Still, you wouldn't be wrong... :spray:

I'll keep exercising for now. I suppose it's worth it.

But an occasional tune-up doesn't hurt.

8. Sometimes ya just gotta say what the fuck
If you're unhappy then try something different to change your situation. If you've tried exercising and that didn't help then try a different exercise

Free your ass and your mind will follow

Because I said so

14. If DUers are right, what's to exercise FOR?
That's my question.

Sorry to sound negative, but like others I don't see much hope.

17. How am I the enemy?!
I know how badly I want things.

You have no idea the extent of your words and what they transcend.

Here's a hint: I have been called "complex" by numerous people. Therefore one well-intentioned paragraph cannot begin to make up for the side of reality people prefer to avoid.

Besides, you didn't answer my question. (and we both know what that answer is. In order to even begin to think life is worthwhile, I'm going to have to shut myself off from the world. Of course, that also means leaving DU and I've whined and threatened to do that how many times now? I'm just a token around here anyway.)

22. I think you are the enemy because you are way to "complex"
I think we share more than a first name dude.
I am not going to lie to you..My life aint peachy.
But I am my greatest friend and also my greatest enemy and so are you.
You don't have to drastically change your life..Just take baby steps..Change what you can.
Instead of M$M's or cookie dough eat something lower cal.
To quote a crappy Nike slogan..JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!

18. There's no medicine that can be prescribed that will
do all things for your body & mind that a little exercise everyday will do for you.

It's almost like a magic pill, but not in pill form.

or do pretty much anything else.

21. No, it won't. But after I exercise, I don't feel as bad
about the jerkwads of the world or anything else that made me feel like sh*t before I exercised. I just don't. It happens but I don't know why.

And it's not like I'm running or lifting heavy weights.

I just go for a brisk walk for 30-60 minutes or a bike ride 4 or 5 times per week. Work up a little sweat and get the heart-rate up for a bit.

23. Life catches up to you
eventually.

Maybe at 20 or 30 or even 40 you think you will live unchanged forever. Then you hit 50. Bummer. I think the only reason I don't weigh 250 lbs today and have managed to avoid bottles of meds is because I did exercise. And still do. At 58 I look pretty good and feel pretty good. I know that would not be the case if I had not paid attention.

Time passes regardles of whether or not you are having a good time or taking care of yourself.

It's harder to play catch up the older you get.
