I must have clicked on or loaded something bad.

Sonovabitch!

There must be 20 porno fucking ads up right now!

I'll bet they are all REBUBLICANS!

FUCKERS!

I've got the software to run and clean this up to fix this.

It just pisses me off how they sneak it in.

1. Ad-aware, spybot....then switch to Mozilla Firebird.
Trust me, once you switch to Firebird, you'll be so glad. No popups, tabbed browsing....

Good stuff!

3. Dude,...
... you've been hacked - they've set up a file server on your machine. Do yourself a favor and swith to Mozilla Firebird browser (you can get it from mozilla.org) - it's fast and it blocks pop-ups by default. You might want to switch to Linux , too.

8. IT IS A BAD THING!
If it comes to you when you are not looking for it!

I don't have a problem with people GOING to the sites of their OWN FREE WILL! I just don't want ANY ads coming to ME when I didn't ASK for it!

I know you know that. You are just being a fart. ;-)

Now I have eBay, cable, wireless phones, viagra, breast enhancements, drug advertisements, and all kinds of loan offers.

I've never been hit this hot and heavy before.

ASSHOLES.

5. What is Mozilla and Firebird?
And BTW I am a Dudette.

I have IE and XP. Are they mutually exclusive?

I also have Adware and I'm running SpySweeper now to get rid of the SHIT I picked up.

I clicked on something earlier (a download)while I was getting the words for a song and I shouldn't have. I wasn't thinking. Next thing I knew my screen EXPLODED with all this CRAP! I know better.

...
http://mozilla.org/products/firebird/

Up in the top left-hand corner, you've got (under downloads) Windows version.

Just unzip the file to a folder (you might want to create one called Firebird in Program files, then unzip the file to there), then navigate to the same folder and click on MozillaFirebird.exe (you might want to create a shortcut to it on the desktop).

BTW, it's a browser, a new , light, fast browser that blocks pop-ups.

And my home page has also been changed! :grr:

That is by far the worst I've EVER bet hit. That was EPIC!

In fact I'll run my whole PC through a whole workup again.

One frickin click.

Mozilla would prevent this? I already have popup blocker and all that stuff?

I can't believe I lost over an hour already on this shit!

12. I just went through the routine myself.
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 04:12 AM by liberalnurse
I now run Zone Alarm, a 15-day free trial from Kim Komando's site, Spybot and Adaware, which are free things. These items have kept things in check. I'm going to purchase Adaware Add-something( an advanced mode you buy and Zone Alarm.

I think it is a must if you have DSL.

I think I got mine from a disc I bought called Spynuker. I initially was trying to access Spybot on the net to protect myself. Now I can see that i was diverted to their web site and actually paid money for the abuse. When I downloaded the disc, it has a question, Do you want updates? I said yes....then all hell broke loose. The updates were Registry key bugs.......

I sent the weekend cleaning up the trash.

You can get all from Kim Komando...

www.komando.com

then click on the left; Kim's shareware

then click Kims best picks. They are all on this list for free downloads
