Anyone watch Cleanhouse on cable. I watched all the episodes
that my housemate recorded on the DVR over the past four days I was stuck in the house.

I thought my house was bad before I had housemates, nothing like that.

I couldn't live like that.

1. I love that show
Niecy Nash cracks me up, but what I like best is the change in the rooms they work on (ESPECIALLY the getting-rid-of-the-clutter part).

2. I like Niecy.
Have you seen the episode where the crew cleans up her Mother's house.

That was a good one.

The people in the show just don't want to let go of their stuff.

13. They cleaned Niecy's mom's house?
Whoa, I missed that one! One of my favorites is the one (just saw it again the other night) about the woman whose husband had been killed in a car crash, and she had essentially stopped doing any housework, and had pictures of her husband all over the place. Great episode, especially when Niecy talked to the woman about losing her brother.

17. Niecy's had stuff at her mother's house she just didn't want to get rid of
I saw that episode also, once I got started I couldn't stop.

19. She was as bad as the people on the show.
There was stuff she had from high school, and her mother had tried for years to throw it out.

3. I can't stand the organizer lady
but otherwise it's a great show. Did you see the one where the guy had pigeons? He was not willing to give them up and live birds were the only thing that I have ever seen the charity refuse at the end of the show.

4. I saw that one.
I really wonder if they really make that much money from the yard sales, I never have.

7. You'd make more money if you had a TV camera crew at your sale.
Everyone wants to be on TV. :eyes:

It's a fun show, though. It inspires me to get rid of stuff. :)

9. I wonder what happens after the crew leaves.
Do the couples have fights, hate the colors picked.

I would bet that they go back to their messy ways.

11. Of course they do.
I have a friend who occasionally cleans my house for me (she needs the $$, and it's a great way to get something done that I hate). But when she comes over, she's disappointed that the clutter has returned.

In my defense, it's been a hell of a year.

12. Nothing wrong with clutter.
You should see my sister house, it is worse then the houses on the show.

There is nothing but a narrow walk way though the whole house, the living room has stuff 3 ft high all over it.

There is one bedroom which they can't get in, that room is stacked to the ceiling with junk.

They have one way to get out out, I do worry about a fire.

The place was flooded 4 years ago and never cleaned, I won't go into the house anymore.

5. I doubt it.
They can't make that much or they wouldn't have the profit matching thing. And the first time I saw it I thought cleaning, organizing, redecorating for $2500? Maybe a room or two, but not a house.

6. I noticed on the shows that various companiesdonated things.
If someone had really trashy house this show is a good deal, other people clean you house and you get new furniture.

8. I just don't have enough junk to justify it
And what if you hated the results? You no longer even have your old crap to throw all over the house. That is the only negative I can think of.

10. There was a show where a woman hated the living room, made a major
scene about it.

She was in tears.

14. That was an episode of Trading Spaces.
Gad, she essentially wanted the same friggin' "country" look she already had. Hey, folks, if you don't want someone doing whatever they want to your house, don't try to get on the shows!

15. Trading Spaces, that's a good show.
You know people have fights when the crew leaves, I like the BBC version of the show.

No way would they come to my house.
