Just gave the sheriff's office a piece of my mind & went on a rant.

They were doing construction at night and no-one could see where to go. A whole bunch of people went down the wrong way - so what do they do - corral the bunch of us up and give us $150 tickets!!!

I told the cops it wasn't right - why do they think so many people went down the wrong way. I was behind some great big SUV in my tiny car and just followed him. I told them it was obvious we made a mistake - it wasn't like we were just going on a joyride.

Then I called the sheriff's office and gave them a piece of my mind. If I take it to court and lose - it will end up costing me $500.

If I'm still steamed up tomorrow - I'm writing a letter to the newspaper.

1. Road work is being done around here (NW FL) and everything is very

poorly marked. A friend of mine recently found herself going the wrong way and luckily changed back over in time to keep from getting hit head on. She had a string of cars behind her at the time--just like your situation. At least they didn't get tickets. This job is being done by Anderson Columbia; they screw everything up and take forever.
