Isn't boycotting ABC a waste of time?
I mean, unless you're part of the Neilsen ratings, it won't affect their ratings one iota. So it won't impact ABC's profits one penny.

It might make you feel good, but ABC won't even notice.

Far more effective to write their advertisers (especially local advertisers) and tell them you won't buy their products if they advertise on ABC. Now that can have an impact on ABC.

8. But even that list is misleading
The ones you list where you're actually spending money can actually have an economic impact (however small). e.g., movies, publishing, theme parks, stores.

Boycotting TV and radio stations, OTOH, has zero impact on ABC or Disney's bottom line.
