The funny thing is, Atlantic records had 8 track multirecording at the time and had had it for years. Their primary engineer and designer Tom Dowd was amazed at the primitive tech that Abbey Road had at the time.

I got mine in the mail the other day and it is just too much. It is all about Abbey Road, the studios, the equipment, the engineers, the producers... everything. 500 something pages. Then they go in to some of the Beatles sessions. I have only paged thru it and it looks so fucking cool..lol.
